Book Discussion with Judy Levin

A One Book, One Highland Park event. Led by Judy Levin, noted book discussion leader. In Helene Wecker's debut novel "The Golem and the Jinni," creatures out of Jewish and Arab folklore meet on the streets of turn of the 20th century New York City, finding both conflict and comfort in each other and kinship despite their differences. Beautiful language, complex characters, and engaging settings make this book one which will appeal to fans of, not only magical realism, but literary historical fiction.
