Fall First Steps

For walking toddlers to 2 year olds with parent or caregiver.
Enjoy an interactive storytime with picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and parachute play. Nurture your toddler's love of books and encourage him or her to learn numbers, colors, sounds, and new words. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play and time to meet other parents, caregivers, and toddlers.

Gaming Tournament

Take on the world of gaming! Participate in Mario Kart, DDR, Super Smash Bros. and Guitar Hero tournaments. Regular rounds begin at 10 a.m. The competition continues with the semifinals and finals the same day. Pizza, drinks, and dessert provided for registered gamers. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in each game for both divisions. Everyone is welcome to watch and cheer the players on. Registration is required for gamers. Register beginning Saturday, March 12th. Stop by the Youth Services Desk or call 847-681-7030.

Instrument Petting Zoo

For ages 3 through adult Instructors from The Music Institute of Chicago will introduce and demonstrate their instruments. Everyone will have an opportunity to talk to the musicians and try out instruments donated for the day by Hoffman Strings, Ltd. of Prairie View/Lincolnshire and The Chicago Music Institute. This program will include string, percussion, guitar/bass and wind instruments. No tickets are required for this free drop-in event.
