Black Friday Stitchcraft: DIY Gift Making!
Kids: Leave the crowds and hassles of the mall to the grown-ups and come to the Library on Black Friday! We'll show you simple knitting, crochet, and finger-weaving techniques you can use to make gifts for friends and family with string or yarn--or both! While you're at it, make wrapping paper and greeting cards to go with your gifts.
The library will have some supplies on-hand, but feel free to bring your own tools and supplies. We'll provide simple patterns and will have our crafting books out, too!
Projects and patterns will be available for all skill levels and ages 6-14.
Kids 7 & under must always be accompanied and directly supervised by a responsible parent, guardian, or caregiver 16 years or older, but we'll let them join in on the fun.
Fall Baby Booktime
Newborns to walkers with parent or caregiver.
Introduce your baby to the sounds and rhythms of language using stories, music, and rhymes. Delight and stimulate your baby's senses and build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play featuring age-appropriate toys and time for socialization.
Join us any time during the session. There will be a chess expert there to help you whether you are a beginner or an advanced player.
LIBRARY CLOSED ON JULY 4th.
