We the People BookshelfA Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities |
The "We the People Bookshelf" encourages young people to read classic literature and explore the ideas and ideals of America. The Highland Park Public Library is one of the eligible libraries to which the National Endowment for the Humanities awarded copies of the fifteen chosen books. NEH is undertaking this new program in collaboration with the American Library Association. Each year, NEH will select books that share a theme important to the nation's heritage.
