The Book Nook is open during the following hours: Thursday 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Depending on the popularity of the Book Nook, the Friends may extend the hours. |

The Book Nook, Highland Park Public Library's on-premises used bookstore, opened its doors for business on Saturday, April 26th, 2003. The Book Nook sells used and new books, videotapes, DVDs, cassette
tapes, books on tape, and comic books in good condition, all at very low prices. The store is operated by the Friends of the Highland Park Public Library, and proceeds benefit the Library.
The Library is accepting donations of new and used books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, and
comic books (in good condition). Please bring your donations to the check-out desk during regular Library hours. Donated items
may qualify for tax deductions, and upon request you will receive receipts for tax purposes.
The Friends invite volunteers to participate in sorting used and new books and recordings, stocking the store shelves, and selling the books and recordings during store hours. Please call Necia apfel

The Friends are dedicated to supporting the Library and its cultural role in the community. Using funds collected through your membership donations, the Friends publish the Laurels (newsletter), purchase needed equipment and materials, and sponsor lectures and special events for the community.
