All windows programs utilize drop down menus. The words across the top of the window will activate these menus.
Click on the word "file" at the top of this screen. You should see a menu drop down that resembles this:

Click away from the menu, and it will close.
Practice by clicking on Edit and View to look at these menus. Close them by clicking away from the windows.
Double clicking is used to open a software application from a desktop icon. The two clicks are close together, "clickclick" not "click (pause) click"

To scroll up and down a page, you can use the scroll bar at the right hand side of the page.
Put the cursor on the bar, press the left mouse button and hold it down. Move the bar up and down.
You can also use the arrow keys. Click on the up or down arrow to move the page up or down.
