Banned Books Week, September 27 to October 3, promotes awareness of challenges to library materials and celebrates freedom of speech. This year, you can vote for your favorite banned or challenged book. A ballot is available on the Big Touch across from the checkout desk. If you can't make it to the library, you can vote from your computer by clicking here .
There will be a ten minute pop up program, "The Power of Words: Banned Books That Shaped America" at the Big Touch on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, October 3 at 11 AM.
