Internet Sacred Text Archive
This site is an "archive of electronic texts about religion, mythology, legends
and folklore, and occult and esoteric topics." Texts are presented in
English translation and, in some cases, in the original language.
The Pluralism Project
This Harvard University project was created to study and document religious
diversity in the United States, focusing especially on the influence of
immigrants and their religious traditions. Seeking to document how diverse
faiths interact, change, and affect American society, this site also provides
links to an online directory of religious centers, a slideshow of places of
worship nationwide, news articles, event calendars, and links to sites that
focus on religious traditions as well as religious groups that function in
public arenas such as government or education.

Internet Encyclopedia of
Philosophy
Looking for views on ethical questions or wonder about the philosophy behind
war? Search, browse by topic or browse the time line at the Internet
Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Articles geared to high school level and above
are written by credentialed philosophers and reviewed by site editors.
Bible Gateway
King James, Revised Standard, New American Standard, and other versions of the
Bible available in PDF format. Search the Bible in German, Swedish, Latin, French,
Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Tagalog, or Norwegian.
ECOLE Initiative
From the University of Evansville, "the Early Church On-Line Encyclopedia (Ecole)
Initiative is a cooperative effort on the part of scholars across the internet
to establish a hypertext encyclopedia of early Church history (to the
Reformation) on the World-Wide Web."
Shamash
A world-wide consortium of Jewish organizations' index to Web resources on Judaism.
Jewish Theological Seminary
This site has a great deal to offer for anyone interested in Judaism. The
catalog of one of the finest Judaica libraries in the world - over 300,000
volumes is available. There are also recommended reading lists from the faculty
and librarians; opportunities for distance learning (free and paid);
commentaries and texts of the weekly Torah and Haftorah portions; and statistics
and facts about Judaism.
Reform Judaism
From the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, Reform Judaism is the oldest
and largest Jewish movement in North America. The site defines Reform Judaism,
offers information on affiliating with the movement, provides resources for
study, and more.
OU.ORG - Your Gateway To The Jewish Internet
The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (Orthodox Union) is "the
central address and spokesman for 1,000 synagogues; a not-for-profit
educational, outreach and social service organization which serves the
burgeoning North American Orthodox Jewish community." Its services include
certifying kashruth of restaurants and food companies, assisting Orthodox
congregations, promoting education and observance, and speaking out on issues
affecting
Jews in North America. The searchable site provides a database of synagogues,
dates of holidays and how they are observed, Torah learning, keeping kosher,
Judaism 101, and other features.

Searchable by keyword and chapter. Provided by the Electronic Text Center at the
University of Virginia.
Islam
This site is from the Islamic Studies department at the University of
Georgia--answers basic questions about Islam, Islamic culture, history, etc.
Frontline:
Muslims
This site is the companion to an episode of the PBS series Frontline. It
includes frequently asked questions, interviews with Muslim scholars, an
overview of some major themes, and portraits of ordinary Muslims from around the
world.
The Electronic Bodhidharma
Site of the International Research Institute for Zen Buddhism. The largest
searchable collection of Zen Buddhist primary-text materials on the Internet.
Tricycle
The online version of Tricycle, a non-profit quarterly magazine on Buddhism.
A good starting place for people wanting to learn about Buddhism is the
"Buddhist Basics" section.
Buddhanet
The "Buddhist Information and Education Network" includes a timeline of Buddhist
history, basic Buddhism guide, information on meditation, a directory of
Buddhist centers around the globe, and more.
BuddhaNet is a not-for-profit organization affiliated with the Buddha Dharma
Education Association Inc, which was first established as a Vipassana Meditation
Centre over nine years ago in Sydney by an Australian meditation monk Ven.

Meeting God
