Wednesday, July 8, 2015 - 7:00pm to 8:15pm

When Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys first performed "Good Vibrations" in 1966, they were probably unconcerned about the physics behind vibrations, but in this program participants will learn how rhythmic vibrations are the basis for everything that we see and hear. A giant slinky will be used to show the difference between sound and electromagnetic radiation. A moving musical note generator will be used to illustrate the Doppler effect. You will make a musical reed instrument out of straw. There will be a laser light show and much, much, more.

Registered program
Children only - No adults - No residency requirement
Children under 8 must have a responsible adult in the library building
