Bookface Contest Begins Today!

Bookface is when you incorporate the cover image from a book into the real world through photography. You can use your face, hands or other body parts to line up with the image on a book and take a "bookface" photo - no photoshop allowed! Check out #bookface on Facebook or Twitter to see some examples and inspire your entry. We'll also have lists of books and books on display to bookface with at the Library. Submissions for the contest can be uploaded to hplibrary.org/kids starting today.

Parade Wagon Workshop

Come transform a wagon into a mini-float based on your favorite story to march with the Library in the 4th of July parade! Bring your own wagon to decorate or help the Library create our own mini-float. After finishing your mini-float, march with us in the parade on Monday in a free Library t-shirt.

The Library will supply cardboard, paint, tape, and glue. Feel free to bring other supplies you need to fulfill your creative vision.

Register once per family/wagon.
