Knitcraft Club

Come by the Youth Services department to knit or learn to knit with friends. Some supplies available to borrow, but knitters are encouraged to bring their own projects and tools. Librarians can help you choose a pattern or find a book about knitting, and club members will help each other with knitting. Grown-up knitters are welcome, but should be accompanied by a child ages 8-14.

Meet The Author - Jeremy McCarter - "Hamilton: The Revolution"

Meet The Author. Jeremy McCarter, co-author with Lin-Manuel Miranda of "Hamilton: The Revolution," discusses his bestselling book that chronicles the creation of the hit musical "Hamilton" from a performance at the White House to opening night on Broadway. Included in the book is the libretto with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s annotations. McCarter, a cultural critic and theater artist, was involved with the development of "Hamilton" from its earliest days off Broadway and provides an up-close look at the blockbuster musical that became a national phenomenon. Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing. Sponsored by the Elizabeth L. Joksimovic Foundation.

Enjoy an interactive storytime with picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and parachute play. Nurture your toddler's love of books and encourage him or her to learn numbers, colors, sounds, and new words. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play and time to meet other parents, caregivers, and toddlers.
