Learn how to read popular magazines (cover to cover) on your iPad, Android tablet, smartphone or computer.  Please bring your device and know your account information for downloading apps. This event will take place in the meeting room on the lower level.

Cutting the Cord: Exploring Cable Alternatives

Save hundreds of dollars annually by cutting your cable and phone cord! This program will explore cost-effective alternatives to cable (Netflix, Roku, Sling, Roku, Apple TV, Hoopla, etc) and traditional landline phones (mobile, Google Voice, etc). This event will take place in the Mediascape room located in Adult Services.

Virtual Reality Jam: Microsoft's HoloLens

Drop in for a hands-on demonstration of the Microsoft HoloLens, a head-mounted virtual reality device. Learn about the HoloLens hardware, software, and some of the cool things developers are making for it.  Arrive 10 minutes early to sign up for a demo as time slots fill up fast! For ages 13 and up. 

Wise Women, Rabbis, Demons, Fools

Award winning storyteller Susan Stone will share Chasidic and folkloric tales from the Jewish tradition accompanied by Sophie Creutz, clarinet. This program is part of the Chicago YIVO Society Summer Festival of Yiddish Culture.
