3D Printing Club

Spend an hour using Tinkercad, CookieCaster or Sculptris to create your own 3D designs to submit for printing on the Library's 3D printer. Staff will be on hand to offer assistance.  Attendee must be between the ages of 9 Years and 13 Years old.  Registration highly encouraged.  Walk-ins are welcome, however we cannot guarantee computer time to non-registered participants.  We will meet in the Meeting Room.

Stories at Subway

Meet us at Subway (1630 Deerfield Rd, Highland Park) for a special story time. Children ages 2-5 with their parents/caregivers are invited to join the fun on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, June 13 - August 11, 2018, 9:30-10:00 a.m. Children will enjoy stories, songs, puppets and a complimentary cookie and juice. Registration is not required.

Fall Baby Booktime

Newborns to walkers with parent or caregiver. Location: Meeting Room. Introduce your baby to the sounds and rhythms of language using stories, music, and rhymes. Delight and stimulate your baby's senses and build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play featuring age-appropriate toys and time for socialization. This class is part of the Fall session (Oct. - Dec.).  Registration requiredHighland Park Public Library cardholders only.

For walking toddlers to 2 1/2 year olds with parent or caregiver.  Location: Meeting Room. Enjoy an interactive storytime with picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and parachute play. Nurture your toddler's love of books and encourage him or her to learn numbers, colors, sounds, and new words. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play and time to meet other parents, caregivers, and toddlers. This class is part of the Fall session (Oct. - Dec.). Registration required. Highland Park Public Library cardholders only. Registration begins August 19.

Strawbee Superhero Accessories

Join us in the Youth Services Department to create your own SUPER accessories out of Strawbees! We'll display your creations in the Library.

Drop-In Games

Let's play games! Come and enjoy the Library's collection of board games with friends or family. Stop by the Youth Services Department to play from 10:30am-12pm on Saturdays all summer long. Children age 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Can't make it on Saturdays? You can check out a game to play at the Library from the Youth Services Desk any time we're open!
