Fall First Steps

For walking toddlers to 2 1/2 year olds with parent or caregiver.
Enjoy an interactive storytime with picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and parachute play. Nurture your toddler's love of books and encourage him or her to learn numbers, colors, sounds, and new words. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play and time to meet other parents, caregivers, and toddlers.

Knitcraft Club

Thursday, December 8, 2016 -
6:30pm to 7:30pm

Kids will learn the basics of knitting and work on a project that's perfect as a gift or for themselves in this 4-week series of workshops. The Library will supply needles, yarn, and patterns, but you may also bring your own supplies and projects to work on.

Registration required and will reserve your spot for all 4 weeks.

Fall Baby Booktime

Friday, December 9, 2016 -
10:30am to 11:30am

Newborns to walkers with parent or caregiver.
Introduce your baby to the sounds and rhythms of language using stories, music, and rhymes. Delight and stimulate your baby's senses and build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play featuring age-appropriate toys and time for socialization.

Read It! Watch It! Book Club - The BFG

Saturday, December 10, 2016 -
1:30pm to 4:00pm

In this new book club, compare Roald Dahl's book "The BFG" to the feature film! Read the book, then come to the library to watch the movie on Saturday, December 10. After the movie, we will discuss the similarities and differences, favorite parts and scenes, what worked and what didn't. Register online, then stop by the Youth Services desk to pick up a copy of the book if you need one and get your Read It! Watch It! badge. Registration required. Refreshments will be served.
This is a drop-off/kids-only program. Adult should return for pickup at 3:45 p.m.
