9:15am to 10:00am

For walking toddlers to 2 1/2 year olds with parent or caregiver.
Enjoy an interactive storytime with picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and parachute play. Nurture your toddler's love of books and encourage him or her to learn numbers, colors, sounds, and new words. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play and time to meet other parents, caregivers, and toddlers.

Moon Over Highland Park

Wednesday, March 8, 2017 -
6:30pm to 9:00pm

Join us for an all-ages event presented by the Lake County Astronomical Society. LCAS volunteers will bring sophisticated telescopes to allow viewing of the moon and other objects in the sky. You are welcome to view at any time and stay as long as you want. Kids will receive glow bracelets and astronomy stickers. There will also be a kid friendly telescope.

If the weather is cloudy or raining we will cancel the event. Rain date is March 9. If in doubt, call Youth Services at 847-681-7030.

Winter Baby Booktime

Friday, March 10, 2017 -
10:30am to 11:30am

Newborns to walkers, with an adult.
Introduce your baby to the sounds and rhythms of language using stories, music, and rhymes. Delight and stimulate your baby's senses and build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play featuring age-appropriate toys and time for socialization.

3D Printing Club

Friday, March 10, 2017 -
4:00pm to 5:00pm

Spend an hour using Tinkercad to create your own 3D designs to submit for printing on the Library's 3D printer. Staff will be on hand to offer assistance. A special "design puzzle" will be presented for those who want a challenge.
