Help make knowledge more accessible to everyone:

• Help the Library of Congress identify and read its old collections at By The People.
• Become a citizen archivist and volunteer to help the National Archives.
  
• Help Project Gutenberg, a library of free out-of-copyright books, by proofreading their digital copies at Distributed Proofreaders.
• Work for the Smithsonian by becoming a Digital Volunteer.
• Become a Wikipedia editor and contribute your knowledge to the world. Not comfortable with jumping in? Try the Wikipedia Adventure to get your feet wet.
